My Bio

Born in Unova, Matthew was raised in a city life learning street logic. Not negative things, but just a concept of 'survival' based upon where to go and where not to go. He has two parents and a household pet pokemon consisting of a Gardevoir. She mostly acted as a playmate being an only child. In the big city, there are many different pokemon that surround the area in which he sees every day on a daily basis. Going to school was a priority until he set off on his own journey during a trip to Sinnoh. From there, he created his own team beating the champion and returning home with pride. His goals in life changed once he had finally experienced how it felt to do something big like this. Traveling from multiple places and gaining new teams, Matthew had found himself content with his pokemon and his achievements along with them. Through many battles from Johto, Hoenn, Kalos, and his own home region in Unova; Matthew had developed a great fondness. With his type of attitude being a kind person yet with a bit of a typical Unova rough attitude at times, giving him a bit of a street type of attitude, he finds his attitude to rub onto his team members. Matthew always carries along his two Gardevoirs for whatever journey he goes on despite his regular team. If it hasn't become clear yet, they're his companions as to Ash with Pikachu. They are on a very sentimental level to him. During his free time, Matthew can be found roaming the streets of Unova looking for some entertainment whether it's battles or going to different stores. Nothing beats his favorite clothing consisting of his favorite hoodie, cargo sweatpants, sneakers and his pokefams. If elsewhere in the world, he can be spotted roaming around and trying to get a grasp of culture from other places and even introducing his own culture to them.

Here they were in Snowpoint City, the place where they met. Where they planted the seeds that sprouted their friendship. It was a sentimental place, one that Cynthia was happy to come back with with Matthew. With all the good memories that were here, she came hoping to create an even better one.

One hand was holding his, the other in her pocket holding the black velvet box. She was nervous, almost unreasonably so, and yet did her best to push it down. Best to act like everything was normal. Her hand holding his tightened, and she let out a light exhale to calm her nerves. Cynthia turned her head to look down at him, smiling brightly, spotting the bench where they first met.

It looked the same as it did all those years ago, perhaps a little more worse for wear. Oh, it'd be such a perfect spot to do this... Her eye darted back to Matthew, and she spoke in a soft voice, "Would you care to go sit?" Her other hand left her pocket, careful to leave the box there, and gestured at the bench.
The snowy temperature. He remembered this place. Although his mouth never spoke of it out loud, his memory remembered everything. The feeling of failing. The felt of loneliness, homesick. The desire to give up, had it not been for her. His hand gripped hers a little tighter as his head rested against her arm. The frigid air was a homecoming. How his hoodie kept him warm with his cargo sweatpants. "Yes, we can sit." He smiled softly at Cynthia. They sat in the exact same spots from all those years ago. His back slouched a little with his hands in his pockets before leaning against her gently. His head on her shoulder as the chilly air blew against him. How he remembered her arms wrapped around him. Although in terms of the reason, to comfort, rather than for affection; the feeling of doing this again, filled with emotional yearn. "I don't think I've ever said thank you..." Matthew spoke softly. "You don't know how hurt I was back then. That you just took it all away..." Matthew remained quiet for a moment. "Do you hear the snowy wind howling?..." Matthew took a moment to hear that noise... "I've only been in two other relationships, Cynthia... the first one... I thought it was everything. She was beautiful to me, Cynthia. The way her smile was, her glow... She used me. I was only worth what was in my wallet and her new partner jabbed how I wasn't good anymore right back in my face. Her eyes held regret yet we both knew the damage was done- that's the reason I don't like going to Hoenn anymore. And the second time in Kalos, when I thought I was ready to try again, my new partner, she made me feel miserable no matter how much I've done to try to show her every ounce of my heart." His grip on her tightened. "I thought that if I could just ignore my love life, maybe I'd be happier, because who needed it? I can be fine on my own, I don't need any help! I don't need some other person to tell me my worth, to fall down like that again, I'm better without that!... And then you came back. Your smile.... that warm glow, the trust I've held for you. How your embrace of a friendly gesture, but the warmth of your coat. How no matter how many times you hugged me I could just feel buried against you, like a comforting night sky. I felt confused, I felt unsure, scared. Why again? And do you know why? Because no matter where I was in my life, no matter how far I've gone or what I've been through, whether you knew it or not, you always cared. I saw you on the news talking with Steven. I felt my heart being crushed because of what the media said about how good you two would be together- it hurt me, so bad. The only person i knew who was genuinely proud of me and not for the same reasons as any other gym leader, elite four member, or champion would. Just. You. I grew jealous, I grew angry, because I wanted you to know, but I couldn't express it because the last two times I did it hurt me- and even though I knew I could trust you, I was scared that I would always be too late, rather than asking. So I fought, I fought, and I fought, proud of my wins, frustrated with my losses- not because I was upset that I lost, but because I feared you'd lose interest. I'm not clingy anymore because I'm seeking reassurance- I do it because I genuinely love you and I want you to know how special our love is and because it means so much to me. I keep saying I don't want to lose you because I mean that I'll do anything and everything to keep our happiness alive... This wind howling is how I've felt for so long because I was scared of losing the only person that I saw not just as a champion, not just as a role model, but someone who was more than a friend and who I knew meant everything to me. I'll fight every day, just so you remember just how much you will always mean to me..." Matthew's eyes were tearing as he had to wipe them multiple times. His face buried against her arm as he held her in the same position as he did all those years ago...
Cynthia bundled him under her arm, listening to his speech and noting all the pure, raw emotion. The love was the most prominent one, and she quickly found herself smiling and deeply, deeply happy. He was the best, and it delighted her to know she was able to have such a strong, positive impact on him. Her cheek rested momentarily on his head, and in this moment she knew she didn't want moments like these to fade, or go away. Not ever.

"I love you so, so much too, Matthew. You give me something to look forward to every day, someone to want to protect and cherish with all my heart. I'll be honest; I couldn't see myself with anyone until you came along. I love how genuine and pure your love is, the small moments we have together, moments like this one here, which are so intimate and sweet. I don't ever want it to end, or go away." Cynthia paused here, sucking in a breath. She momentarily wondered if now was too soon but... There was hardly a truly "perfect" time for these sorts of things. Her other hand shook nervously, reaching in her pocket for the box. And then she produced it, moved her other arm that was around him to open it, show the ting she got, and she said, "Matthew, I can't picture my life without you... I won't picture my life without you. I want to be with you forever. Will you marry me?"
Matthew nestled against her arm. Despite the cold around them, just holding her and feeling her warmth brought him comfort and joy. He listened to every word she had to say in return. Matthew simply blushed deeply before looking up. "Cynthia, what do you me-" Matthew watched her pull a box out from her hands, watching as she opened it. His eyes staring at the ring before looking at her in her eye. His eyes began to water up as he whimpered. "Cynthia..." Matthew simply couldn't stop staring at her, almost reflecting of everything that they've done together. His heart beating fast while he sniffled a little. "Cynthia, I-I do... I-I want to be yours forever! I don't want anyone but you, please!!" He cried while holding his hand out, his Queen, his beautiful beautiful Queen, proposing to him... how he could melt in her arms and feel safe and sound. His hand trembling, waiting for her impatiently and eager as he held her tightly. An embrace that never wanted to be parted as he held her. "I do, Cynthia! I do! I want to be yours! Please make me your husband. I-I want you to be my wife!" He cried harder at the thought of being able to call his idol, his everything, his comfort, his happiness- all bundled under multiple synonyms for his happiness, as his wife...

(( starting this off as script, but it can totally change if you want it to! ))
(// Cynthia had just finished up some research, papers scattered across the couch. )
(// It was fun, though this now left her wondering where Matthew was. She came to a stand, and stretched, before going off to search for him in the home. )
(// She found him in the kitchen, and a grin came to her face. Slowly, she creeped up behind him. Then wrapped her arms around him, hair draping over his shoulder. Her face leaned to bury in his neck, and she held it for a moment. )
(// She lifted her face, curiously looking over his shoulder. )

"What are you up to, love?"
((it's fine! You know I'm always acceptable of how any sort of response is given or made! I just like lit, but you can keep on script if that's better for you!))
"News from Alola is that the new Champion, Guzma, is setting up a battle grounds for trainers to challenge him under a stress test known as a crash course. Guzma, as you may know, is the former team leader of the notorious Team Skull within that region, who resigned after our Champion, Matthew,  disbanded the team. While most folks have been supportive of the change in the Alola's new champion,  there have been some speculation that this was set up prior to Matthew's departure as the two seemed to have close ties towards the end of Matthew's stay within the region. The media who's been covering this story has been the same one that was attacked by the champion at a ball last year when Matthew was seen by Cynthia. In other news, Chairman Rose is currently still behind bars following a regional crisis that simultaneously happened during the events that followed Alola. Some people are stating that there's some conspiracy between the events. Here's a clip of a person we interviewed." "SO AETHER DECIDES TO OPEN UP THESE SPACE PORTALS TO LET FREAKY ALIENS IN OUR WORLD AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THIS MONSTER COMES INTO THE WORLD IN GALAR? I KNOW IT WAS A SET UP THAT BOTH COMPANIES TALKED ABOUT TO HAVE A MASS SCARE-" Click.

Matthew changed the channel relatively quickly. That seemed about enough of that. He rather just focus on something else other than something like that. The pans sizzled on the oven as the male had just woken up... he was the opposite of Cynthia in some ways, in this case, he literally just rolled out of bed a couple of minutes ago. Bedhead, t-shirt, and boxers; the usual attire for slumping his way downstairs. Yet despite his usual morning hellos to his hun, he was used to just going instantly to the kitchen to cook. Didn't take long for the smell of breakfast to make its creep into the household with the smell of cooking butter and hearing the sounds of movement going around.

Matthew yawned with his mouth wide before feeling the embrace of the other. His face instantly flushing as he made a little grumble. Of course, he wasn't pissed, but that was his usual attitude. The feeling of long blonde hair draping around him with a gentle soft face against his neck with the long arms that held him, Matthew simply fell into the embrace, feeling comforted by the hug. Hearing her call him love... it was still very special to him...
"I'm making breakfast for us, Bun. Y'want anything specific? Otherwise, I'm just gonna go with the typical breakfast stuff." He responded back while giving her cheek a kiss. She could clearly feel the warmth from the red glow he had, despite being hidden by his tan skin.
(( thank you so much i really appreciate it!! ))
Cynthia delighted in the nickname he spoke to her, a grin breaking out onto her face. She eagerly leaned into the cheek kiss before returning the gesture with one of her own. She paused at the question, and shrugged after a moment passed. "No, I don't have anything specific. Just general is fine," She said, hugging him tight once more before letting him go so he could continue what he was doing. She stayed, however, and asked, "Could I help you with anything?"
